General Information
Twist of Fate is a Destruction guild on the Kragg server. We are a small guild looking to expand our numbers, with an eye on end game RvR content. We are planning to be a medium size guild of 30-40 people with 20-25 people online at peak times. We believe in quality over quantity and have no intentions of being a 100+ player zerg guild.
Twist of Fate is made up of many long time online players. We are a mature bunch of people. Our average age is somewhere in the late 20's. We do not care about age so much as personality and wit.
Code of Conduct
Always show respect for others. treat them as you wish to be treated. Our main reason for forming was so we as friends, had a place to call home. We are all friends here always remember this! Also please remember if we don't have respect for each other we have nothing.
You are expected to have a positive attitude! Consistent complaining in guild will not be tolerated. Complaining about lag or anything else we have no control over gets old very quickly. It puts the whole guild into a bad moral state. Please remember we are all here to have fun and play the game. On a related note, if you are joining a group, please state at the start if you can't stay very long. Don't join a group if you have other things going on and can't devote your full attention to what's going on in game. We don't expect you to ignore your house burning down or your car blowing up, but be courteous to your groupmates.
Guild Ranks
1. Twit- This rank is used if someone is abusing the guild channel (or perhaps as a joke). This rank can read but cannot use guild chat.
2. Initiate - This rank indicates that the member is on their 30 day trial period.
3. Member - This rank is for full members.
4. Veteran - This rank is used occassionally for non officers who frequently run or assist in running raids. No additional powers or responsibilities are granted with this rank. Players in this rank have priority when forming groups for portal bosses.
5. Recruiter - This rank indicates the person is a guild recruiter. Officers and the Guild Master can also answer recruitment questions. Please refer people to the forums first!
6. Officer - This rank indicates the person is a guild officer. Officers can access the guild bank.
7. Guild Master - This is the rank of the guild master.
Raiding
Raid Etiquette - While everyone has a different idea of fun, it's also important to make sure that individuals aren't causing problems for the raid as a whole. The raid leader is in charge at all times and what he says goes. If you have a question about what you're supposed to be doing, ask him.
AFK - If you are going to be afk say so. Say it in Vent, type it in the guild, party or raid channel, do an /afk, but please, let someone know. At the same time, if you can then by all means /follow someone so that the raid may continue. This is vitally important to reducing downtime and being responsible to your fellow guildmembers. When people go afk without telling anyone, it can cause confusion, wipes, and the associated unnecessary downtime. There are other people counting on you to do your job so please show them the courtesy of telling them when you are afk. If your AFK is going to be an extended period of time, see if someone can take your place so that the raid may continue.
Inactive Policy
If you are inactive for over 1 week without a reason we reserve the right to remove you from the guild. If you are taking a break from the game or have a RL issue that prevents you from logging on please post something in the forums to let us know you wont be around but still intend to play later. If you are removed and would like to rejoin please talk to an officer when you are back. This will be handled on a case by case basis.
Taxes
Guild Tax rate is currently 25%. It may be increased in the future, but we will always put it to a guild vote on the forums. It will not be decreased. Please keep in mind that taxes are only applied to coin from looting corpses. You do not pay taxes on items you sell to a vendor, quest rewards or at the auction house. If you would like to contribute more you can make a donation at the guild vault or mail gold or unwanted blue items to any officer. You can also tithe which will contribute more money from your looting to the guild bank. Tier 4 keeps cost 10 gold per hour and that is the only thing we use the guild funds for.
Ventrilo
Twist of Fate has a Ventrilo sever that all members are free to use. During raids that you are attending, you are expected to be logged in to Ventrilo and in the appropriate raid channel. The Ventrilo Server info can be found on the Guild Info tab in game.
Guild Chat and Ventrilo Ettiquette
Being a guild made up of generally more mature players, we expect our members to use common sense in these matters, but have drawn up some general guidelines.
1. Save the Drama for your Mama. If you have an issue with someone take it up with them directly or with an officer. Do not air it over the guild channel or ventrilo.
2. During raids keep the ventrilo chatter to a minimum. You are wasting everyone's time if you are chattering on the vent channel when the raid leader is attempting to accomplish something. Please show some respect.
